At approximately 5 a.m. on Friday morning, 12 members of Rock Community were deployed with St. Louis Metro Strike Team 5 to Lesterville, MO in response to life-threatening flash flooding.
Utilizing inflatable rescue watercraft and drones, Strike Team 5, in conjunction with Strike Team 3, aided in the rescue of over 50 individuals trapped by the rising flood water. In this area of flooding, at least 106 victims were rescued by St. Louis Metro Strike Teams, MO-TF1, and Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Rock Community is a proud member of St. Louis Metro Strike Team 5 and even more proud of the performance of our members on this deployment. Our members were ready to respond and affect the rescue of dozens of victims at a moment’s notice and we are thankful for the continued support from our community.
