Rock Community Fire Protection District is built on the community’s trust that we will respond when needed, act professionally and decisively under pressure, and manage public resources responsibly. That trust is the foundation of everything we do.
As a lifelong resident of this district, I understand both the privilege and responsibility of leading a department that serves its own community. Serving as Fire Chief is not simply a title, but an honor and a commitment I take personally on behalf of the people and property we protect.
Throughout my career, I have responded to emergencies involving my own family members, acquaintances, and lifelong friends. Those experiences shape how I lead and set the standard we hold ourselves to: every call matters, every interaction matters, and how we treat people is just as important as the outcome.
That same responsibility extends to how we operate and manage the district. I expect our members to serve everyone they encounter with care, respect, and urgency, while safeguarding taxpayer resources with discipline, transparency, and sound stewardship.
Our work is guided by four core values – Community, Family, Integrity, and Professionalism – which inform our decisions, conduct, and accountability. Our stations are an active part of the neighborhoods we serve, and residents are always welcome to stop by, have a cup of coffee, ask questions, and learn more about how we operate.
My commitment as your Fire Chief is to lead a department that serves its community with accountability and professionalism, remains worthy of the trust placed in it, and puts people first every day.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Kevin Wingbermuehle
Fire Chief
