The Rock Community Fire Protection District Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for ensuring the safety of our business community through plan reviews, construction inspections, and occupancy inspections.
All commercial work and new business occupancies within the District require a permit and subsequent inspections.
New Business & Occupancy
Every business operating within the District must have a valid Commercial Occupancy Permit. This is required for all new businesses, changes in ownership, or changes in location (even within the same building).
Commercial Construction, Renovations, Fire Protection Systems & Fire Alarm UL UUFX
A Building Permit is required for any new construction, additions, or interior structural renovations. Our Fire Marshal’s Office reviews these plans to ensure compliance with current fire codes and life safety standards.
Fire Protection Systems
The installation, modification, or repair of fire suppression and detection systems requires a specialized permit. This includes fire sprinklers, kitchen hood suppression systems, and fire alarms.
Submittal Requirements: Please upload all necessary plan review documents and digital drawings after your form submission via the “Plan Review” page.
