Rock Community Fire Protection District has officially closed on the purchase of the former Rockport Baptist Church property, marking a significant milestone in the District’s long-term commitment to public safety.
The site will serve as the future home of a state-of-the-art firefighter and emergency services training center, as well as a dedicated hub for community safety education. Conveniently located adjacent to Station 5 and centrally positioned within the District, the newly acquired property, together with land already owned by Rock Community, creates a site totaling approximately five acres.
The planned center will enhance firefighter and EMS training capabilities and provide space for vital public education programs, including CPR and First Aid, Safe Babysitter classes, fire extinguisher training, and other fire prevention education programs.
Additional details and planning updates will be shared as the project progresses.
Rock Community Fire Protection District is grateful for the community’s continued support and remains dedicated to strengthening emergency response capabilities and expanding opportunities for community risk reduction.
