With heavy hearts, the Rock Community Fire Protection District sadly announces the passing of Captain Alan McClain on January 2nd, 2024.
For nearly 32 years, Captain McClain selflessly dedicated his life to serving the Rock Community Fire Protection District. He started his journey as a volunteer firefighter in 1992, transitioned to a full-time role as a Firefighter/EMT in 1998, and ascended through the ranks to become Captain in 2022. Captain McClain’s unwavering commitment and extraordinary skills were evident throughout his career.
Arrangements are as follows:
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7th, at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville, MO 63129. The visitation period will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with a firefighter walk-through scheduled for 6:45 PM. Firefighters who wish to partake in the walk-through must assemble for line-up no later than 6:30 PM.
A fire apparatus procession will be held in honor of Captain McClain, just prior to the Funeral Mass, which is scheduled for Monday, January 8th, at 1:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, located at 2300 Church Rd, Arnold, MO 63010. Fire apparatus wishing to participate in the procession should arrive at Kutis Funeral Home by 11:00 AM.
