FIREFIGHTERS BEGIN HYDRANT TESTING
Beginning next week, Rock Community firefighters will begin testing and labeling local fire hydrants.
Firefighters will be checking the hydrants for proper water flow and making sure that the hydrants open easily if needed for water supply.
The florescent color label that will be attached to each hydrant will alert firefighters of the pressure that the specific hydrant has and how much water that hydrant can supply to the fire apparatus.
Early prevention and inspection are the key in making sure hydrants work properly and have good flow before we have to use them in a fire scenario.
