Welcome to the Public Education portion of our website. Educating the public on fire and life safety is paramount in today’s fire service.
We at Rock Community Fire District offer a vast array of public education programs.
One of our newest programs is the Neighborhood Paramedic program. With this program, our citizens can call and notify us of a special needs person and periodically a friendly Rock Community member will arrive and check on their welfare. They will check their medications as well their physical condition and environmental needs such as heat and air conditioning.
Our car seat installation program guarantees that a trained technician will install your seat properly and advise you of any car seat recalls.
Our new SWAT (Severe Weather Alert Training) and EDITH (Exit Drill In The Home) trailer is readily available to come to your school or organization and teach not only severe weather preparedness but fire safety and safe escape in the home.
We offer training for our citizens with our new CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and in our schools with our new teen CERT programs. These individuals are trained by Rock Community Fire personal as well as trained CERT instructors. Just give us a call to join the team.
We offer Fire and Disaster Preparedness presentations for your organization or group. Just give us a call and we will set up an informative yet fun presentation with plenty of take home information and brochures that will surely be useful for your home emergency plans.
