After the area was ravaged by fire in 1940, a courageous group of citizens banded together and established fire protection for our community.
On this day in 1941, the Rock Community Volunteer Fire Association held its first official meeting and the rest is history. The fire district as we know it today would not exist without the dedication and leadership of these fine men and for that we are eternally grateful.
